The Wing Hanger, which houses the museum, is an original 1944 grade 2 listed building which has been adapted for wheelchair access in all ground floor areas. Unfortunately the exception to this is the second floor Control room, which is only accessible via stairs.

We can however offer disabled visitors a video presentation of the control room section of the museum by prior arrangement. The Wing Hangar is a relatively small building with very few options for flexible space utilisation. We therefore have to assign a multi-functional role to certain areas. Depending on the size of the visiting groups, it may not always be possible to implement this video presentation at short notice on the day.

We would therefore request that disabled visitors please notify our bookings co-ordinator in advance, when you book by email, if you would like this to utilise this facility.
